I think with the internet also people don't feel as alone with experiences or situations that they might have felt before the internet.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;If someone had for example a dwarf gene, they probably would not meet many  others like themselves unless they lived in a larger metropolitan area.  Now through the internet, they can connect with others just like them in so many ways.
